Class of 2016 Survey

Current Juniors, please complete the following survey for your counselors to better serve you going in to your senior year!

Going to Kirkwood C.C. this fall? Be sure and check this out!

Kirkwood Community College is announcing the Golden Opportunity Scholarship for recent high school graduates in the college's seven-county service area. The scholarship removes the first barrier to paying for college by "filling the gap" between financial aid grants and the cost of tuition. Kirkwood, founded in 1966, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2016. According to Kirkwood President Mick Starcevich, the scholarship was established as a way to say thank you to the area the college serves.

To be eligible, students:
Must enroll at Kirkwood Community College within one year of graduating high school in
Kirkwood's seven-county service area (Linn, Johnson, Benton, Jones, Iowa, Cedar and

  Washington).

Must complete their FAFSA and demonstrate financial need.
Must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hours.
Must maintain a 2.0 GPA on all work attempted at Kirkwood Community College.
The awards will be given out on a first-come, first serve basis until the funds are exhausted. In addition, students who receive the scholarship will have the opportunity to renew it for a second year. For more information, contact Scholarship & Alumni Officer Jody Donaldson at (319) 398-7186, jody.donaldson@kirkwood.edu.
